    Nicola Cooper

    Senior Technology Co-ordinator

    Nicola Cooper is interested in designing services and products that bring happiness and well being to individuals and communities. She has a background in art and is a practicing artist, designer and maker.

    Nicola has been working with Alzheimer Scotland for the past 5 years and she is currently working on technology services and product innovations that support PLWD in their everyday living and to get out and about safely.

  • Charlotte Swarbrick

    Senior Technology Co-ordinator

    Having originally trained and qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer, Charlotte went on to leave the NHS clinical world and pursue career advancement within the health and social care field. Working across private, voluntary and third sectors in a variety of roles over the past decade, Charlotte’s passion for training and workforce development emerged. In her current role as Senior Technology Co-ordinator with Alzheimer Scotland, she is funded by the TEC programme for the next two years to explore innovative ways to support people living with dementia and their carers, using technology. Her main work stream within this team is training and the development of a national workforce upskilling programme.

  • Gillian Anderson

    Senior Technology Co-ordinator

    Within the team, Gillian's main role is to identify technology that might have applications for people living with dementia and their carers and develop relationships with those developing it. 

    A self confessed tech magpie, in her spare time she is studying a BSc Computing and training her Schnoodle pup to become a dementia intervention dog.

  • Tommy Petillo

    Dementia Circle Website Manager

    Tommy Petillo is a product designer based in Glasgow. Tommy was born in Rome, Italy and moved to Glasgow in 2003 where he studied and fell in love with Scotland and its people.

    When he was at University he worked on a project about Dementia and how it affected people's independence. He discovered that he could make a difference by sharing people’s own experiences and designing simple products for everyday tasks. Tommy is now developing his own range of inclusive products.
